Short answer: race week is 25–29 August 2027 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bike day is Saturday 28 August 2027 (GW150 / GW75 / GW35 / GW10). The GW300 Long Voyage starts Friday 27 August 2027 at 5PM. Registration is NOW OPEN on Movemint. Event hub: gravelworlds.com.

Start/finish for the bike events: Sandhills Global Event Center, 4100 N 84th St, Lincoln, NE 68521 (race day). The race-day page still shows some 2026 dates in the lineup body; week and start times above follow home + schedule for 2027.
Courses are announced 7–14 days prior (race day). FAQ: course files for the 150 / 75 / short course and runs release the Saturday before; GW300 course info about one month prior.

Home uses GW35 for the 2027 short bike course. Some FAQ sections still say GW50k for older short-course wording.

Self-supported rules and checkpoints
From the FAQ and bike rules (checked 11 Oct 2026):
- Completely self-supported: no outside support, no drop bags, no team vehicles or family/friends at checkpoints or on course.
- Checkpoints are mandatory to enter (cross the timing mat); you are not required to stop for food or water.
- Checkpoints (FAQ required list): GW150 two (≈50–60 and ≈100–110 mi); GW75 one (~40); GW35 one (~15).
- Checkpoints stock water, basic food/nutrition and limited mechanical support (FAQ). GW300 relies on small-town convenience stores / gas stations.
- No refunds or deferrals. Transfers and distance/category changes via Movemint until 1 August (then locked). Registration insurance via Movemint if purchased at checkout.
- Time cap (FAQ): 9.5 mph average for bike checkpoints and finish; official finish timing cut off 15.5 hours (10pm for 150 / 11pm for 300).
- E-bikes (FAQ wording): only GW50k and Para. Not allowed on GW75 / GW150 / GW300. (Home’s 2027 short course is named GW35; the bike-rules page also names GW35 / GW10 for the e-bike exception.)
- Tire note from the FAQ (organiser’s recommendation, not Pedal Brief advice): width 35 or larger, 40+ mm common for locals; they name Panaracer Gravel Kings. See the FAQ.
