Tuesday's brief: Garmin hands Edge 1060 features to older units, LOOK makes its power pedals cheaper for good, and Fabric revives its lightest saddle.

Older Garmin Edges get Edge 1060 features
Garmin is porting most of the 1060's software to the Edge 550, 850 and 1050, with some features for the 540, 840 and 1040. Alternate data fields and Garmin Messenger support are in public beta now; Strava Live Segments on any route lands in early 2027. Voice control stays 1060-only because older units have no microphone.

Garmin coaching plans without a power meter, from today
Also rolling out today through the Garmin Connect app: Challenger coaching plans that don't need a power meter (older Garmin cycling plans did), and Android users can send a Google Maps pin straight to their Edge. Both work on Edge x40 units and newer.

LOOK power pedals: up to $200 cheaper, permanently
LOOK has cut prices across its Keo Blade Power (road) and X-Track Power (gravel and MTB) pedals, single- and dual-sided, by up to $200 since 1 October. The pedals themselves are unchanged. LOOK credits long production runs, not a clear-out.

Biggest races this weekend
Still nothing that makes the cut, and nothing last weekend either. The road season is over and the next UCI Gravel World Series stop is Dustman in Thailand on Sat 14 Nov, followed by The Gravel of Marathon in Greece on Sun 15 Nov. One more quiet weekend, which is a fine excuse to ride instead of watch.
